Virginia Council on Economic Education

Workshop Schedule

NEW ELEMENTARY WORKSHOP ADDED!  Sorry this workshop is full!

Monday night November 17th from 4:30-7:30 please join the CNU Center for Economic Education for an elementary workshop with an International flare! You will be supplied with Focus: Grades 3-5 Economics from the National Council on Economic Education!* (a $33 value)

With 14 hands-on activities, you'll keep your students actively involved with your lesson plans. You'll use simulations, games, stories and role-playing activities that illustrate economics in a way every elementary student will enjoy. We will reshape these activities and give them an International emphasis.

Of course this workshop is perfect for grades 3-5 teachers, but enterprising teachers of slightly younger or slightly older students may attend and adjust these lessons to fit their grade level. Held at the CNU/SunTrust Building, directions will be sent upon registration. Limited to 20 teachers, so sign-up ASAP! Call 594-7404 or email econedu@cnu.edu to register. It is free, fun and (in)formative!

*Support for this program was provided to the Christopher Newport University Center by the National Council on Economic Education as part of the Cooperative Education Exchange Program (CEEP). The CEEP is funded by the United States Department of Education and carried out in coordination with the United States Department of State.
